Peretz: The Saudi initiative could be breakthrough

"I have already said that the Saudi initiative should be looked in to more seriously. It could be the breakthrough we need for a political process in the region," Defense Minister Amir Peretz said at the AIPAC conference in Washington.
He also said that 2007 was a critical year in thwarting Iran's nuclear program, and repeated Israel's demand to release the kidnapped soldiers. (Ronny Sofer)
