Man injured by shooting near Jerusalem
Arab man shoots Jewish Israeli driver, then flees to Beit Hanina neighborhood; police suspect attack terror-related
An Israeli Jewish man was lightly-to-moderately injured Sunday evening after he was shot by a young Arab man at the Hizme Junction in northern Jerusalem. Police are investigating whether the attack was terror-related.
An initial probe revealed that the man was shot while driving his car into the Junction. He was injured in the shoulder and evacuated for treatment at the Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital.
Police have launched a helicopter-aided pursuit for the suspect, who escaped to the nearby Beit Hanina neighborhood.
Three people were injured in a shooting attack near Modi'in nearly a week ago after al-Aqsa gunmen fired at their car from a passing vehicle. One of the passengers was lightly-to-moderately injured and the other two sustained light wounds.
