Syrian vice president says Israel, US stand in way of peace
Syrian Vice President Farouk al-Sharaa condemned what he called "Israel and the United States' violent and aggressive policies which stand in the way of peace in the region."
In a speech given in Damascus, al-Sharaa said that Israel and the United States were responsible for the suffering of the Palestinian refugees and the Iraqi people, and that they are athreat to global stability and security. (AFP)
