Peres congratulates Sarkozy for presidential win
Vice Prime Minister Shimon Peres congratulated Conservative Nicolas Sarkozy for his presidential win in France Sunday. "France has spoken, and chosen its leader. Sarkozy is a friend to Israel," Peres said.
Peres, who met with Sarkozy two months ago in France, added that all of France's allies must wish Sarkozy good luck in his new position. (Ronny Sofer)
