Temple Mount
A trip to the past, this time a bird-eye’s view; a collection of rare aerial photos taken in the 1930s. Mount Scopus, Tel Aviv, the Galilee and more – a journey across the country, no worries about traffic
Dr. Moshe Glickson (1878-1939) was born in Poland, studied philosophy in Germany and Switzerland and be came a publicist, journalist and an active Zionist. He immigrated to Palestine in 1919 and took a job with the Haaretz newspaper. Three years later he was nominated the paper’s editor-in-chief. He served in this position for 15 years until the new owner, Shlomo Zalman Schocken, fired him in 1937.
Schocken gave Glickson a collection of aerial photos of the land in the 1930’s. Glickson’s grandson, Moshe Gal, gave the photos to Bitmuna. We invite you to travel to the past into familiar yet different places.
