Peres announces official candidacy for president
Vice Premier Shimon Peres has officially announced his running as candidate for the President of Israel. In a special meeting of the Kadima faction Peres said: "After a lot of deliberation I have decided to consent to appeals to me, and to run." (Amnon Meranda)
