Disabled children celebrate in a 'Special Needs - A Star is Born'
The children rehearsed for three months, and finally their big day arrived: Shalva-The Association for Mentally & Physically Challenged Children in Israel opened up the three day Special Needs Festival in Jerusalem.
The program was multi-tiered: Some of the disabled youngsters memorized the words of Israeli songs and some learned to play the darbuka (an Arab drum) and African gourd instruments. Others learned to dance to the exciting rhythms.
Together with winner of hit show 'A Star is Born', Jacko Eisenberg, and the celebrities Asaf Ashtar and Sharon Shachal, the children performed in front of an ecstatic audience in ‘Special Needs - A Star is Born,' and proved, once again that each and every one of them is a star.
