Little big support
Stav, a 7-year-old cancer patient, operates a website that offers support to other young patients

Stav Edri from Tiberius is only 7, but this is his third bout of cancer. His wish to share his experiences with other young cancer patients was answered through a website in which he answers, supports, shares and primarily is there for other kids who are sick with cancer.
"When Stav was 5, I noticed his stomach was swollen," said Stav's mother, Ruth. "The doctor saw a big lump in one of his kidneys and right after the biopsy came back positive, the kidney was removed. He underwent chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Three month later the tumor was back. This time an operation wasn't an option and Stav went through another series of chemotherapy."
Six months later, during a routine check up, doctors discovered the tumor was back once more. He is now being treated at Bnei Zion hospital in Haifa. He is in the first grade and spends one week in school and a week in therapy.
Already at the hospital, Stav started approaching other children at the ward offering them support. "Children came over and asked me what was the tube in my chest, does it hurt and what does chemo feels like," he said. "We decided to open a website where we'll answer questions. Children who are sick with cancer and don't know what to do will send their questions and I will help my mom write the answer."
