Rice announces renewed assistance to Palestinians
Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice summoned a press conference to announce the end of the boycott on the Palestinian Authority and renewal of direct assistance to the Palestinians.
This is in response to the decision of President of the Palestinian Authority Mahmoud Abbas to dissolve the unity government and form an emergency government headed by Salam Fayyad. (Yitzhak Benhorin, Washington)
