The good news is that romance is alive and kicking. The bad news is that romance seems to equal kitsch. Almost 22,000 readers participated in the survey, of whom 8,000 were men. Yet, despite the "war of the sexes," most men and women had the same notions.
A large majority of you (61 percent) believe the most romantic location for a first date is the beach, with a bottle of wine. The least romantic choices were going to the movies (2 percent of the votes) and watching a movie at home (3 percent).

In light of the above, it's sort of obvious that 42 percent thought the most romantic to place for a kiss is on the beach at sunset.

The most romantic place for a vacation is on the beach in Thailand. Paris is the second choice followed by a bed and breakfast with a Jacuzzi. Only 5 percent thought spending time in bed is a good option.
The majority (36 percent) chose a home-cooked meal is the most romantic gift even if we can't cook. Flowers received 22 percent of the votes and jewelry – 23 percent.
The image of strawberries and cream is so deeply rooted that 36 percent chose it as the most romantic food, followed closely by "something home-made." The vote for the most romantic female celebrity was surprising: Bar Refaeli received
13 percent of the vote, super-model Galit Gutman 20
percent, while the undisputed winner was Ayelet Zorrer with
