Suicide bombing thwarted in Beersheba

Cleared for publication: Security forces thwarted a suicide bombing on September 3, which was planned to take place within the next few days in Beersheba.
Police sources said the would-be suicide bomber was caught near the Egyptian border in possession of an explosives belt. The suspect confessed to working with the Popular Resistance Committees during his interrogation. The incident is still under investigation. (Shmulik Hadad)
