US envoy says timeframe for NKorean nuclear disablement near
Negotiators are expected to discuss a draft joint statement Friday detailing plans to disable North Korea's nuclear program, a US envoy said after the start of the latest round of six-country disarmament talks.
US Assistant Secretary of State Christopher Hill said negotiators agreed Thursday that they would stick to a year-end target for the disablement of the North's nuclear program, pushing along negotiations that have dragged on for more than four years. (AP)
