Market closes up, dollar recovers

Dollar adds 0.553%, set at NIS 4.0020. TA-25 rises 0.64% to 1,157.50 points, nears all-time-high of 1,166.6 points

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchanged ended its shortened trading week favorably, as the TA-25 rose 0.64% reaching 1,157.50 and nearing its all-time-high of 1,166.6 points.

 

The TA-100 gained 0.99% to 1127.66 points, the Tel-Tech climbed 1.06% to 442.88 points and the real estate index added 2.1% reaching 733.12 points.

 

The dollar recovered from Monday's slump, rising 0.553% to NIS 4.0020. The euro added 0.139% and was set at NIS 5.6756.

 

The Asian markets opened their trading day on a positive note as well: The Nikkei rose 1.1%, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index (the $HSIX) climbed 3.3% and South Korea Kospi gained 3.01%. China's market didn’t trade due to a national holiday.

 

Tuesday's trade totaled $396.6 million.
