TASE closes with record-breaking highs
TA-25 reaches all-time high at 1,176.13; banking sector trades up
After a holiday recess, trade at the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange resumed on Sunday, closing with sharp rises.
The TA-25 rose 1.61% reaching an all-time-high of 1,176.13. The TA-100 climbed 1.67% to 1,146.48 points, only 1% away from reaching a new high.
Tel-Tech gained 0.87% to 446.73 points and the real estate index added 3.72% reaching 760.37 points.
Foreign currency was not traded on Sunday, and on Friday the dollar rose 0.075% to NIS 4.013. The euro lost 0.43% and was set at NIS 5.663.
The banking sector traded up as Hapoalim gained 0.52%, Leumi rose 1.22% and Discount jumped 2.25%.
Some $498.8 was traded on Sunday.
