Police and Israel Prison Service officials are preparing for the brit of assassin Yigal Amir's son set to take place at the Rimonim prison where he is incarcerated on Sunday afternoon.
Police officers are to be deployed outside the walls of the prison to prevent disturbances of the peace from leftist and rightist activists.
The brit will apparently take place in the visitors' area of the prison wing where Amir is incarcerated.
The Prison Service has planned for the brit to be conducted without anything separating Amir from his first-degree relatives. Other family members will not be able to come into physical contact with the prisoner.
The prison guards will not allow any sort of "celebrations or parties" to take place, the Prison Service said.
The responsibility for enforcing order outside of the prison walls will fall to the police. They plan to set up fences in order to separate rightist and leftist activists from each other.
Police have said that no one has requested an official permit to demonstrate at the prison during the brit.
Police spokesman, Superintendent Shlomi Sagi, said: "We are prepared for all possible scenarios in order to maintain public order and the movement of traffic in the area. All actions are coordinated with the Prison Service. The number of police deployed will be related to the number of demonstrators that arrive."
