Prime Minister Ehud Olmert on Sunday said that he "completely identifies" with the remarks made by former Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin's son Yuval during the memorial rally for his father Saturday at Rabin Square in Tel Aviv.

In his speech, Rabin slammed Israel's law enforcement system, calling it a "weak, unstable and silent wall" for allowing the family of his father's assassin to hold the circumcision ceremony of Yigal Amir's son in prison.

Olmert spoke at the start of the weekly cabinet meeting, and added that Amir was "torturing the people of Israel.

"I have no choice but to identify with the moving remarks made by the son Yuval. The people of Israel must not that this never happen again," the prime minister said. "This is a shining red light. This day, November 4, will always remain in the people of Israel's consciousness as the day of the murder."

In his speech Saturday, Yuval Rabin accused the legal system of being helpless, allowing the brit of the murderer's son to be held on November 4, the day of the murder.

"The man who on that night, 12 years ago, stood at the foot of this square and with self-control took the role of the judge and the accuser. The man who abused the laws of democracy continues to mock them to this day," Yuval Rabin said.

Minister for Pensioners' Affairs Rafi Eitan addressed the moral aspect of the circumcision ceremony being held in prison, saying that "from a moral point of view the brit of Yigal Amir's son should not have been approved, but according to what I heard today, according to legal experts, the judge could not have made a different decision."

Housing and Construction Minister Ze'ev Boim criticized the legal system, saying, "I heard Judge Dalia Dorner justifying the court ruling. However, the problem here is not legal. Both the district judge and the High Court should have viewed this issue in a much broader context."

According to Boim, "This whole issue of the murderer's celebration in the prison was narrowly viewed by the judges. From this point of view, Yuval Rabin was completely right."

Defense Minister Ehud Barak said before the cabinet meeting that "Yuval Rabin's remarks were made by one person, but they represent what many people think and feel. We must stop dealing with the murderer. The people of Israel's lesson is that the murder is the important thing, not the despicable murderer."
