Canadian-based Israeli classical guitarist Daniel Bolshoy is scheduled to arrive in Israel for a brief concert tour.
Bolshoy will perform this coming Thursday at Jaffa's "Ha'Teiva" studio and on December 12 at the Felicja Blumental Music Center in Tel Aviv. He is also set to hold a solo recital at St. Andrew's Scottish Church in Jerusalem the following day.
His final performance will take place at the Hecht Auditorium in Haifa on December 27.
During his visit Bolshoy will also give master classes at the Israel Arts and Science Academy in Jerusalem, where he studied.
Over the past 10 years Bolshoy has recorded a number of albums and won top prizes in numerous international competitions. His tours have taken him all over North America and Europe.
Speaking to Ynet, Bolshoy said "I haven't been to Israel since moving to Canada in '93. It will be my first tour there and I'm very excited.
"During the shows I'll perform a new piece by a Canadian composer and other classical tracks," he said.
