At least three people were killed Thursday evening in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a vehicle moving near the Zeitun neighborhood east of Gaza City, Palestinian sources reported.

An IDF spokesperson said that the Israel Air Force attacked and hit a Qassam cell operating in the area.

According to the Palestinians, one of the men killed in the strike is Khalil Masarai, a well-known local arms dealer. Medical sources in Gaza said that several people were wounded in the strike, and that one of them sustained critical injuries.

Several Qassam rockets were fired from northern Gaza at Sderot and the western Negev Thursday. One of the rockets hit a house in Sderot, moderately wounding one woman.

The Mujahideen Brigades, the Popular Resistance Committees and Islamic Jihad's al-Quds Brigades claimed responsibility for the attacks
