Bush Chemists to perform in Israel
British dud, roots and dancehall group to perform at Tel Aviv's Cultura club on February 15
The Bush Chemists, headed by reggae artist Dougie Wardrop, are expected to arrive in Israel and perform at Tel Aviv's Cultura club on February 15.
The British dub, roots and dancehall group was founded in London in the early 1990s and released its first album in 1996. Since then, the group members have released eight albums and dozens of songs in various dub and mix tapes collections. Their latest album, 'Raw Raw Dub, was released in 2005.
The group members have said in various opportunities that they were mostly influenced by the great kings of dub: King Tubby, Augustus Pablo and Lee Perry.
Singer Culture Freeman will also take part in the performance. The evening will begin with a performance by Israeli group Sounds Ganja Vice. The ticket prices range from NIS 50 to NIS 70 (about $13-18).
