Israeli missile strikes kill 2 Gaza gunmen
Shortly before midnight Sunday, IAF missile hits Palestinian gunman. Earlier, Palestinian killed while carrying cart with Qassam rockets ready to be launched
Two Palestinian gunmen were killed in two separate IDF strikes Sunday night, sources in the Gaza Strip reported.
A member of the al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, Fatah's military wing, was killed in an airstrike shortly before midnight Sunday. The target of the strike was Asad Abu-Sharia, an al-Aqsa member. It is unclear if he was the one killed in the joint IDF-Shin Bet operation.
A Palestinian was killed Sunday evening and several others were injured as an Israeli aircraft fired a missile at a target in the northern Gaza Strip. IDF officials reported that the army attacked a gunman carrying a cart filled with Qassam rockets ready to be launched near the border fence.
Four Qassam rockets have landed in Israel on Sunday, causing no injuries. Two women were treated for shock in the town of Sderot as a result of one barrage.
Earlier Sunday evening, Palestinian sources reported that Israeli Navy vessels fired flares over the Jabalya refugee camp near Gaza City.
Meanwhile, in the West Bank city of Ramallah hundreds of Palestinians are protesting the blackouts in Gaza following Israel's decision to cut back on its supply of fuel to the Strip.
The Fatah movement has organized similar protests in Bethlehem and Tulkarem.
