The Streets coming to Israel

British rapper to make 2 appearances in April; set to appear with Girafot, Hadag Nachash and Barry Sakharov

The renowned English rapper The Streets (AKA Mike Skinner) is scheduled to arrive to Israel in April to perform for Israeli audiences at two separate venues.

 

The artist will appear at the Zappa club in on April 4th and a day later at Hangar 11.

At the second show, the Girafot (Giraffes) will open for him in the last appearance on their current tour. Rocker Barry Sakharov and Hadag Nachash are also set to make an appearance during the event.

 

Skinner, a white rapper who is considered one of the most popular in Great Britain, burst onto the scene around 2001 and to this day has put out three albums under the name The Streets.

 

His style combines elements from English garage music with a touch of electronica. His newest album is set to hit stores in upcoming few months and his visit to Israel is part of a tour to promote the soon-to-be-released collection of songs.

 

The Streets is to be accompanied by 10 other musicians who will appear alongside him.

 

In the last year, Skinner put out a cover of Elton John's Your Song on his MySpace page.

 

The Girafot's appearance will bring to a close their latest tour win which they promoted their most recent album Gag (Roof). In the past two years, the band appeared all over Israel.
