Iran's vice president arrives in Syria

Iranian Vice President Parviz Davoodi arrived in Damascus, heading a political-economical delegation, the Iranian news agency IRNA reported Wednesday.

Davoodi is expected to meet with Syrian President Bashar Assad and his deputy, Farouq al-Shara. The parties are expected to discuss tightening the economical ties between Iran and Syria. (Dudi Cohen)
