Israel approves exports of apples to Syria
Defense Minister Ehud Barak, Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni and Finance Minister Ronnie Bar-On on Sunday approved the exports of apples from the Golan Heights to Syria.
Agriculture Minister Shalom Simhon welcomed the expected export of 500 to 700 tons of apples. "I hope we will be able to export cherries to Syria in the summer," he said. (Roni Sofer)
