Israel hands over remains of Jordanian soldier from 1967

Published: 03.24.08, 19:54 / Israel News

Jordan's Petra news agency reports that Israel has handed over the remains of a Jordanian soldier killed in 1967 Middle East War. Monday's report says that the hand over took place at the Allenby Bridge crossing between Jordan and Israel.

Authorities did not identify the soldier, but the semiofficial Palestinian newspaper ‘Al-Hayat al-Jadidah’ named the man as Mohammed Mahmoud from the northern city of Ramtha. Petra added that the soldier was killed in Jerusalem's suburb of Anata during the war. (AP)
