Hadash MK: Protests will save Jaffa residents from evacuation
Knesset Member Dov Khenin (Hadash) said during the Land Day rally Friday that "a wave of protests is beginning in the city. A joint Jewish-Arab struggle can defeat the evacuation policy and save the Arabs of Jaffa and the residents of Kfar Shalem from the demolition of their houses, and turn this entire city into our city."
According to some 500 families in Jaffa, the Amidar and Halamish companies claim that the residents have lost their rights to live in the property which used to belong to their parents and must leave. (Sharon Roffe-Ofir)
