Talks between Dalai Lama envoys, China to begin Sunday

The Tibetan government-in-exile says talks between Chinese officials and envoys of the exiled Tibetan spiritual leader will begin Sunday in what would be the first meeting between the two sides since violent anti-government protests erupted in Tibet in March.
Prime Minister Samdhong Rimpoche of the India-based Tibetan government-in-exile says the resentatives would convey ''deep concerns'' over China's handling of the situation in Tibet and would put forward ''suggestions to bring peace to the region." (AP)
