In a telegram sent to his Israeli counterpart Tzipi Livni, French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner congratulated the Jewish state on its 60th anniversary.
"I hope that the coming months will bring with them a milestone in the continued negotiations on a permanent agreement between Israel and the Palestinians," he wrote. (AFP)
