US lawmakers are condemning Russia for stepping up its ties with two breakaway territories of the Republic of Georgia.
The lawmakers in the US House of Representatives are also urging the United Nations to investigate the April 20 downing of a Georgian unmanned aircraft. Georgia says a Russian fighter jet shot down the spy plane. (AP)
