Gideon Ezra appointed acting tourism minister

Minister of Environmental Protection Gideon Ezra (Kadima) was appointed acting tourism minister, after the post had been vacant in recent months following the resignation of former minister Yitzhak Aharonovitch (Yisrael Beitenu).
Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said the appointment was temporary until a permanent minister is named. The Knesset is expected to approve the appointment. (Roni Sofer)
