State prosecutor: Olmert received envelopes from Talansky in Israel, US

State Prosecutor Moshe Lador said in a court hearing Monday that “after hearing (Olmert) attorneys’ arguments, I believe a few words must be said about the allegations themselves. The main reference is to the years in which Ehud Olmert served as minister of industry, trade and labor and prior to that as Jerusalem’s mayor and as health minister.
"The main allegations focus on Olmert’s ties with businessman Morris Talansky, from whom he allegedly received cash – in Israel, via Olmert’s former bureau chief Shula Zaken, as well as in the US. The money was transferred in envelopes. This is the basic version.” (Aviram Zino)
