China and Russia stood firmly together in opposition to US missile defense plans Friday as Russian President Dmitry Medvedev arrived on his first overseas tour.
Moscow and Beijing have forged close political and military ties after the Soviet collapse to counter the perceived US domination in global affairs. While they have spoken against the US missile defense plans in the past, Friday's declaration by Medvedev and Chinese President Hu Jintao sounded tougher than earlier criticism. (AP)
