Minister Edery visits Golan, says would object to withdrawal

Minister of the development of the Negev and Galilee, Jacob Edery (Kadima), toured the Golan Heights on Thursday and said he is "among those who object to Israel's withdrawal from the Heights. This is a very important region to the State of Israel. In the past few days alone, substantial funds have been allocated to the continued development of this area."

Edery, who also serves as minister of immigrant absorption, came to observe a project dedicated to the advancement of Israeli children of Ethiopian origin from the Galilee. (Hagai Einav)
