MK Edelstein: Israel will get nothing for ceding Golan

MK Yuli Edelstein (Likud) commented Friday on report of Syrian President Bashar Assad saying Israel made no prerequisites for its peace talks with Syria, saying "as Israelis we have to believe Assad when he says Israel will get nothing in exchange for ceding the Golan Heights."

Syria, he added, "is a supporter of terror and will push Iran to the banks of Lake Kinneret. Assad is the altar Olmert is hanging on to for his political survival." (Amnon Meranda)
