MxPx to perform in Israel
Washington-based punk-rock group of visit Israel as part of European leg of world tour; scheduled to rock Tel Aviv's Barbie in August
Punk-rock band MxPx announced recently they will come performing in Israel this summer.
The band is scheduled to perform in Tel Aviv's Barbie Club on August 19; with local punk band Man Alive as their opening act.
Street Music Production is the force behind bringing MxPx, which was formed in 1992 in Washington, to Israel.
The band is said to tour Israel as part of its world tour, which will include performances in the US, Canada and Alaska, as well as dates in Europe. As part of MxPx's UK tour, the band is scheduled to take part in London's acclaimed Reading Festival and in the Leeds Festival. The tour is scheduled to end by October.
MxPx has released eight albums so far. Their latest CD, "Secret Weapon", debuted in 2007.
