Olmert: Shalit’s release is integral part of truce
Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said Wednesday during a conference of Shitufim, a Public Benefit Company For The Advancement Of Social Change in Israel, that “Gilad Shalit’s release is an integral part of the understandings regarding a truce. I believe calmness will be restored in the south.”
Olmert added that “the cabinet has instructed Defense Minister Ehud Barak and the security forces to prepare for any necessary action under short notice.” (Raanan Ben-Zur)
