Tel Avivians will not be going to sleep Thursday night, as the city celebrates the annual White Night events, marking five years since its recognition as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) in 2003.

As part of the celebrations, all the city's stores will remain open throughout the night, and residents and visitors will be able to enjoy some 600 different events, including parties, displays, films, concerts, exhibitions, etc.

The main events include a David Broza concert at Tsuk Beach, a city of dancing at Park Hayarkon (Ganei Yehoshua), dancing at Gordon Beach, a beach party at Charles Clore Beach, as well as concerts by The Giraffes, Metropolin, Efrat Gosh and Daniel Salomon at the Banana Beach.

All the galleries and museums will be open for visitors for free until dawn. Admission to all the events will free or for a symbolic entry fee. A detailed list of the events, hours and locations is available on the Tel Aviv-Jaffa Municipality website.

Tel Aviv's restaurants will also join the celebrations. The 2eat restaurant website has recruited 20 restaurants which will offer a full course meal for the attractive price of NIS 78 (about $24) per person during the festival.

Some of the restaurants will serve a first and main course for this price, while others will also offer desserts, beer, a cocktail or an alcoholic beverage.

On Friday morning, the restaurants will offer a variety of special breakfasts for two for NIS 78. The restaurants taking part in the celebrations include Tahel, Mina Tomei, Poike, Lucas, Comme il Faute, Dita, Benedict, Indira, Avant-garde, Jacko, Max Brenner, and more.
