US ambassador to Israel: No anti-Iranian operation in near future

US Ambassador to Israel Richard Jones told Ynet that to the best of his knowledge, no military operations are expected in the near future against Iran.

Use of military force is the last resort and Israel and the US are cooperating on this issue, said Jones at a farewell ceremony which took place in his honor at the house of Deputy Foreign Minister Majalli Whbee (Kadima) at his Beit Jan residence. Regarding negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians he said it was definitely likely that an agreement would be attained by the end of the year. He denied that the US was against Israeli-Syrian talks. (Sharon Roffe-Ofir)
