Moderate earthquake jolts small town in eastern Iran

Iranian state TV is reporting that a moderate earthquake has jolted a small town in eastern Iran.

 

The report says the magnitude-5.2 quake struck at 3:49 am (1119 GMT) Friday but caused no injuries. Some older buildings were slightly damaged in the town of Kadkan near the quake's epicenter, some 650 kilometers (400 miles) east of Tehran. The quake was followed by two aftershocks. (AP)
