A state news agency says one person has been killed and another 16 are trapped after an accident at a coal mine in northern China.
Xinhua News Agency says seven miners managed to escape from the Wujiu coal mine outside Datong city in Shanxi province. The Sunday report says a preliminary analysis of Saturday's accident shows an apparent blast is likely to blame. (AP)
