Sarkozy: Make peace around Mediterranean as in Europe
French President Nicolas Sarkozy is urging the nations around the Mediterranean Sea to make peace as European nations did in creating the European Union. Sarkozy is launching a Union for the Mediterranean involving 43 nations in Europe, the Middle East and North Africa.
He says the group "will build peace in the Mediterranean together, like yesterday we built peace in Europe." (AP)
