VIDEO - Shlomo Goldwasser and Zvi Regev, fathers of kidnapped IDF soldiers Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regev, spoke on the phone Wednesday after their sons' coffins were turned over to Israeli custody. Video courtesy of Infolive.tv The two soldiers, who have been held captive by Hizbullah for 734 days, were returned to Israel as part of a prisoner exchange deal with the Shiite group. According to the deal's outline, the bodies were returned in exchange for murderer Samir Kuntar, four Lebanese prisoners and some 200 bodies of Hizbullah operatives. "I've spoken to Zvi, but there really isn’t much to say at this point," Shlomo Goldwasser told Ynet. The news of the sons' death, he added, was painful, but not surprising. "We didn't kid ourselves the information was there for us to see." His wife Miki, he added, was in an extremely distraught state. The families first learned of the horrible news upon seeing the live television broadcast from the Rosh Hanikra border crossing, which featured images of Hizbullah operatives unloading the two caskets from a truck and handing them over to the Red Cross on the Lebanese side of the border. The families are said to be awaiting the final, official announcement by the IDF. Once it arrives, the families are expected to reach the IDF's Shraga base, near Nahariya, for a military service.
