Myanmar needs at least $1 billion over the next three years to put the survivors of Cyclone Nargis back on their feet, said a UN-led report released Monday amid warnings that millions remain highly vulnerable.
The May 3-4 cyclone caused damage worth $4 billion, including $1.7 billion damage to assets and $2.3 billion from loss of income, said the report prepared by the United Nations, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations and the government of Myanmar. (AP)
