Internal Security Minister Avi Dichter visited Sderot with Democratic Senator Barack Obama, and said that "a terrorist entity should not be allowed to exist between us and Egypt.
"We are forced to deal with the reality of the firing of thousands of Qassams and mortar shells. We gave the Palestinians all of Gaza, we pulled out of every inch, but they continue to fire rockets at us." (Roni Sofer)
