Israeli artists to perform in Hungarian rock festival
Prestigious Sziget Festival in Budapest to feature famous rock stars such as Alanis Morisette as well as Israel’s MC Carolina, Izabo mid August
The Sziget Festival for rock music taking place in Budapest since 1993 is considered on of the most prestigious festivals in Europe. This year, the festival will be held from August 13 to 18, and will proudly present two Israeli delegates: The rock band Izabo and MC Carolina, who will perform with Sabo, Kuti and percussionist Idan K.
The festival features 20 different stages and attracts some 400,000 people. The year, the main stages will feature famous artists such as Alanis Morisette, REM, Iron Maiden, The Sex Pistols, Jamiroquai, The Kooks and more.
Izabo will perform on Friday August 15 at the “Converse Wan 2” stage featuring three international bands every day that will serve as the opening acts for the main Hungarian concert.
Another artist performing on that stage is Adam Green, from the "Moldy Peaches" duo. Carolina, Sabo and Kuti will perform the following day on a different stage dedicated to dance and electronic music alongside artists from Czechoslovakia, France and the UK.
