Uruguayan president to visit Israel on Monday

Uruguayan President Dr. Tabaré Vázquez will arrive in Israel Monday on a two-day trip as President Shimon Peres’ guest. Vazquez will function as the head of a delegation of more than 40 high-ranking officials, including four ministers. Heads of the Uruguayan Jewish community will join the mission.
Vazques will visit the Schneider Medical Center for Children, Yad Vashem and the Weizmann Institute of Science where he served as a doctor for a short time in the 1970’s. (Roni Sofer)
