Barak hopes negotiations for Shalit's release to resume under embargo

Defense Minister Ehud Barak said Tuesday that he hopes the negotiations for the release of kidnapped soldier Gilad Shalit will be resumed soon, but that "this time they will be held under embargo in order to give them a chance to succeed."
According to Barak, "The truce gives the negotiations a chance to succeed. The ministerial committee is working to relax the criteria, and this is also important in order to bring about Shalit's release. Not one day goes by without me thinking about this and without us working on this issue which is at the core of our responsibility." (Roni Sofer)
