Report: 5th round of Israel-Syria talks delayed

The Al-Arabiya television network has reported that Syrian President Bashar Assad informed his French counterpart Nicolas Sarkozy that the fifth round of indirect talks between Damascus and Syria has been postponed "due to the domestic situation in Israel".
It was further reported that Sarkozy is expected to hand Assad a letter drafted by captive IDF soldier Gilad Shalit's father regarding the mediation efforts for his son's release." (Roee Nahmias)
