Afghan governor killed in car accident

A car carrying the governor of the eastern Afghan province of Nuristan skidded off a mountain highway and plunged into a river on Friday, killing him and two of his bodyguards, an official said.
Hazrat Din Nur, 40, was on his way back from Kabul when the accident occurred, his deputy Haji Abdul Haleem said. Two people were injured. (Reuters)
