MK Gal-On: Olmert should temporarily suspend himself

MK Zahava Gal-On, chairwoman of the Meretz faction, called on Prime Minister Ehud Olmert to declare himself temporarily suspended, due to a police decision to recommend that he stand trial for fraud.
"A corrupt prime minister against whom charges are going to be filed cannot continue to lead the country. This constitutes a breach in the foundation of democracy. If he doesn't suspend himself the attorney general should do it," she said. (Attila Somfalvi)
