Ramon offers NIS 1.1 million to each settler who agrees to leave home

Vice Premier Haim Ramon said Sunday that each settler who will agree to leave his home in the West Bank, east of the separation fence, will receive NIS 1.1 million (about $305,640) in compensation.

Ramon told the cabinet that settlers who wish to move to the Negev will receive a 25% supplement, while those who move to the Galilee will get an addition of 15%. He added that 18% of settlers – 11,363 people – are willing to vacate their homes immediately. (Roni Sofer)
